Celebrating a 50-Year Journey in Education: Reflections on Teaching, Leading, Learning, and Children captures Deborah E. Jones's extensive experiences over fifty years as an educator and leader. The notes and quotes in this "quick-read" book trace her journey from the start, as a student attending a segregated school in grades one through seven, to desegregated schools in grades eight through college, and ultimately to her transition from student to teacher and school principal. The book answers the questions: Why, What, and How do you sustain a 50-year career in today's schools and education system?
