On the happiest day of their lives, private investigator Sam Stone and his new bride, Meg, barely have time to cut the cake before chaos strikes: a wedding guest collapses, poisoned—or so it seems—by something as innocent as the punch.
Before the honeymoon glow can fade, Sam is pulled into another puzzle. Del Clingerton, a desperate local businessman, hires him to track down his missing brother Bert—and the $150,000 that seemed to vanish with him. The deeper Sam digs, the stranger it gets: a chestnut-haired woman who vanished after the reception, secrets buried in small-town ledgers, and a trail that threatens to turn personal.
With Sam's sharp instincts and a little wry humor to balance the danger, the Stones are about to discover that marriage is the biggest—and deadliest—adventure of all.
Perfect for fans of small-town mysteries with heart, Cast the First Stone blends humor, romance, and suspense into the first unforgettable case of the Sam & Meg Stone Mysteries .
