Burgundy Walrus Volume I is a visceral, soul-stirring collection of poetry and illustrations that charts the terrain of the human experience-from traumas, addictions, and grief to healing, love, and awakening. Samuel T. Scholtes, a multidisciplinary artist and survivor of deep transformation, weaves raw emotion and striking visual art into an immersive journey through the thresholds of light and shadow.
This is more than just a book that serves as a mirror for anyone navigating pain, purpose, and the mystery of being alive. Each page is a meditation on the soul's capacity to rise, a reminder that trauma can become transformation, and that creativity is a sacred act of healing. With themes of resilience, rebirth, and soulful reflection, these poems and illustrations are equal parts guide and companion for anyone seeking meaning in the mess.
Let these words and images stir something ancient within you-and carry you closer to wholeness.
