"Between the Empty and the All" is a large poetic journey encompassing the spiritual and ethereal as it walks alongside the emotional and casual moments that pervade the human experience. It's romantic, inspirational, yet grounded and real. Deakin-Drown's approach to poetry is familiar and soothing; fresh and exciting. A myriad of moods dip, sashay and sway their way through the pages in a colorful silver screen rendition of nostalgia and longing where only a few sparse pieces are left behind on the cutting room floor. Feel the rhythm and heartbeat moving through the poems, then step into the poet's dance. Candice James, author of "Behind The One-Way Mirror"; and Poet Laureate Emerita, New Westminster, BC CANADA
