A Vow, Family Secrets, and a Touch of Magic
Melissa Streeter is divorced, struggling with a career in turmoil, and unable to maintain meaningful relationships. She's been estranged from her mother, Lydia, for more than two decades, ever since Lydia abandoned the family. The desertion left Melissa embittered and holding onto a lifelong vow to never forgive her mother.
When a letter from a stranger named Gabe, her mother's second husband, arrives at her San Francisco apartment, he implores her to come to Iowa where Lydia is gravely ill.
Uncanny coincidences bring Melissa to a place where long-held secrets may never be told, only uncovered. She experiences a world where mystical insights offer the capacity to change her life. But it is too late?
