"Such perfume on the nose, it's almost intoxicating, the Merlot is so expressive, almost explosive on the nose. Floral, savoury, spiced. Round, glossy, bright and intense - all the markings of a great wine here. Fleshy tannins, chewy but so juicy at the same time, underpinned by salty, stony flavours plus fresh mint, dried herbs and a touch of liquorice. Great mouthfeel and texture. No doubt about ripeness, but this really retains joy, brightness and fun. One of the best Pavies. Excellent, flavours linger for a long long time. Elegant, precise, finessed."
