"Incredibly aromatic, such intensity of scents on the nose; violets, pomegranate, coffee beans, chocolate, blackcurrants - quite unlike anything else. Dark fruit, tobacco, liquorice, heady and spiced at the same time, but not hot or warming. Deep but not sun-kissed, definitely more cool. Knitted down still, a little shy in terms of ease, a bit angular, but there's depth and concentration. Definitely a more understated style. Not at all exuberant, restrained, fresh with plenty of minerality. It becomes more chewy and round with time in the glass, this will reward patience. Very singular in style with more nuance than previous years."
