During Prohibition many bars and taverns were forced underground. This led to patrons who were planning a night out to whisper or "speak easy" about these establishments. It was Canadian Club that became the whisky of choice and the #1 smuggled whisky in the U.S. and the original "club whisky" in North America. The whisky has aromas of toasted oak with hints of brown sugar and rich leather. There are flavours of nutmeg spiciness and light hay notes balanced with a subtle sweetness and a touch of dried fruit. There is warm and lingering sweet oak on the finish.
