All things come to an end, and this is the final collection of author and turkey hunter Jim Spencer's famous Bad Birds stories. Spencer began writing these tales of triumph and woe in 2000, when he started a long-running feature for Turkey & Turkey Hunting magazine. Since then, a Bad Birds tale has appeared in every issue, and he has developed what can only be called a cult following within the turkey hunting subculture. Spencer has been chasing turkeys since 1977, and to date has hunted them in three countries and more than 30 states. He and his outdoor writer wife Jill Easton travel from mid-March to late May, chasing the gobble in six to ten states every spring. They make their home in the north Arkansas Ozarks, surrounded by the forest and, in years following decent hatches, by turkeys.
