Rani's life in Aleppo is upended by war, forcing his family to flee their home in search of safety. Their journey takes them through treacherous landscapes, overcrowded boats, and refugee camps before reaching England. In Manchester, Rani struggles to adapt to a new culture, language, and school, feeling isolated and overwhelmed. Over time, he finds friendship with Jack, whose kindness and shared love of football help Rani build confidence and a sense of belonging. As the years pass, Rani thrives in his new community, blending his Syrian roots with his new identity. When Aleppo begins to rebuild, Rani returns, embracing his heritage and helping to restore his homeland. This is a story of resilience, hope, and the enduring power of human connection.
