A curious girl, a sneaky gator, and a swamp full of secrets .
It is a new day in the Everglades, and Ava is on a mission. After rescuing a baby alligator named Alfi yesterday, Ava wakes up determined to find him again. With her notebook, a sharp eye for clues, and a little swamp-spy stealth, she searches for signs of her slippery friend among the cattails and winding trails. From tracking tail marks to dodging bugs and brothers, Ava discovers that the wild is full of whispers if you know how to listen. When a new danger appears in the water, Ava has to act fast. She might not be the biggest or bravest person in the swamp, but she notices small things. Sometimes that is what matters most.
The Ava and the Alligator trilogy follows Ava's friendship with Alfi across the Everglades. From tangled nests to echoing waters and one last goodbye, Ava discovers that even small voices can do big things.
