Those who can wrestle need to strike less often. This makes self-defense more scalable, as the damaging impact of strikes is difficult to calculate. Striking training remains an essential part of self-defense, but the goal is to reduce the necessity of having to use strikes. The Arm Drag is a key technique in this regard. It enables a rapid transition to the opponent's back, which opens up several strategic options: a safe escape, injury-free control in the standing position, or advantageous takedowns. The option to escalate using strikes remains available, while the risk of taking hits yourself is minimized. To successfully apply the Arm Drag, well-structured, dynamic training is necessary. This compact guide is designed to help you achieve that.
