This book was written for one person. The one reading it right now.
Angel in Cell Block C — The Prisoner's Edition is the true account of what happened when God walked into a cell block and changed everything — not just a man's behavior, but his very heart. Benjamin Spencer writes from 45 years of walking in freedom after incarceration, offering raw truth, hard grace, and the kind of hope that only comes from someone who has lived it.
This is not a cleaned-up version of a messy life. It is the messy life — the abuse, the running, the darkness, the cell, the angel, and the God who never gave up on a man who had given up on himself. Every chapter ends with the full text of Biblical passages and personal commentary written directly to the reader inside — because you may not have a Bible, but you have this book, and the Word of God belongs in your hands.
Benjamin Spencer is the founder of The Empty Cell Project, a prison reentry ministry in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He has spent 45 years building bridges between prison walls and church doors. He is a Kairos Prison Ministry volunteer and the author of the Angel Trilogy.
This edition was designed specifically for incarcerated readers and the chaplains who serve them — compact, affordable to print, and written to be felt, not just read.
If this book reaches you in a cell tonight — you are not forgotten. God sees you. He always has. And He is closer than you think.
