What happens to survivors of catastrophic events? Do they go on to lead what society considers a "normal life" or are their lives forever broken? Book One of "And The Angels Sigh" is a moving story about a young boy whose life is irreversibly changed after the 1972 Buffalo Creek disaster. He encounters Sue, a wealthy Virginia farmer with demons of her own, who takes him in and is determined to raise him as her son. There are fights, kissing, a dead dog, a runaway piano, and more lawyers than most people are comfortable with. Can he overcome his tragic past and obstacles at every turn? Or is he doomed for utter destruction?
