When the numbers don't add up, the truth is often buried in the most unlikely places.
Arthur Pringle is a man who prefers the quiet predictability of a spreadsheet to the chaotic social landscape of Whispering Pines. As a meticulous auditor, he finds comfort in the rhythm of double-entry bookkeeping and the silence of a well-organized archive. But when he accepts a seemingly routine job at a local estate liquidation firm, Arthur discovers something that cannot be reconciled: a series of massive, unexplained financial drains occurring after the town's wealthiest residents have passed away.
In a town where everyone knows everyone's business, Arthur must step out of his comfort zone to untangle a web of deception that stretches from the town cemetery to the highest levels of local government. With the help of a sharp-witted librarian who shares his love for quiet truths, Arthur must rely on his analytical genius to track a killer who thinks they've hidden the perfect trail.
"An Introvert's Guide to Auditing the Afterlife" is a cerebral, cozy mystery that proves that sometimes, the most dangerous weapon in a small town isn't a knife—it's a falsified ledger. Perfect for readers who love methodical sleuths, atmospheric small-town settings, and a mystery that keeps the mind sharp.
Join Arthur Pringle as he balances the books, uncovers the secrets, and reconciles the truth in the quietest, most deadly town in the state.
