Excerpt from An Account of the Most Frequented Watering Places on the Continent, and of the Medicinal Application of Their Mineral Springs: With Tables of Analysis, and an Appendix on English Mineral Waters Darstellung der bekannten Heilquellen Europas, as the work to Which I am most 1ndebted. Thinking it would render the book more generally useful, I have ap pended a brief notice of some English mineral springs, in order to compare them with some Continental ones; and as my knowledge of their composition was very limited, I have availed myself of the work of Sir C. Scudamore, and of Dr. Thomp son's article on Mineral Waters in the Cyclopaedia of Practical Medicine, to obtain the most correct information respecting them.
