A Life Well Placed tells the life story of the remarkable missionary, Amy Carmichael. Some of us look for a place where we can grow and use our gifts. When we find it we love it and flourish in it. This was true for Amy Carmichael. After much travel and prayer she found her place - the dry, remote plains of Southern India. Amy Carmichael lived her life out of a strong belief in a God who is real, all powerful and who provides for all our needs. She had a deep love for people and a determination to help them. She provided a home, an education and health care for hundreds of girls and boys whom she rescued from the jaws of an Indian practice of selling children to temple prostitution. The Dohnavur Fellowship she established survived two world wars, outbreaks of disease and persistent spiritual attack. She authored nearly 40 books that continue to inspire and nourish the souls of many. This is the power of a person whose life is well placed . . . they become unstoppable. Amy Carmichael's story will inspire you if you are still looking for the right place, if you have already found it, or if it is not what you expected and you need courage to persevere. Amy Carmichael - A Life Well Placed will help you: Be inspired by a remarkable missionary story of faith and trust Discover important quotes from Amy Carmichael's own words Deepen your faith by applying the life lessons at the end of each chapter
