★ Children Can Learn to Be Brave ★
In this delightful story set on the African savanna, children will learn valuable lessons about peer pressure, growing up, and becoming courageous.
One of the most valuable social skills you can teach any child is how to politely deal with "false friends" who discourage their dreams.
That's exactly what Lele the Lion learns to do in Amka! Little Lele. Amka! means "Wake Up!" in Swahili. In order to pursue his dream - and his destiny - of becoming king, Lele has to "wake up" and realize that his friend, Tiri the Rabbit, has been giving him very bad advice.
Help the children you love:
Learn responsibility
Believe in themselves
Stand up to anyone who mocks their dreams
Written by a Kenyan author, this is the ideal children's book for those who are looking to expand their children's awareness of folk tales of the world, and the important life lessons we can learn from them.
Amka! Little Lele will remind your children that "Big dreams can be very scary! But they can come true if you have the courage to pursue them. Deep inside you lie the ingredients for you to succeed. Dormant at times but they can be awakened!"
