Nave distorts the human figure into "creatures" detached from the past and present, looking toward an uncertain future In Amir Nave’s (born 1974) paintings, drawings and sculptures, he depicts the human body in an obsessive, even mystical manner. His "creatures," rendered as a head or an entity, draw upon deeply buried pasts and possible futures, refuting traditional figuration.
