"You won't be able to live with yourself after killing me, Amar... you know that. Because I know, deep down, that you love me too."
Unbidden, tears welled in Amar’s eyes, betraying his cold exterior. His finger trembled against the trigger, the weight of the moment paralyzing his resolve. His gaze remained hauntingly locked onto Malar’s, unable to look away.
Below the bungalow, an army of over fifty men stood poised with rifles and blades. The sudden, sharp crack of a gunshot shattered the silence. Startled, the henchmen looked up in alarm as a flock of pigeons erupted from the rooftop, scattering into the sky.
