F r die Erlaubnis zur Ver ffentlichung derselben bin ich Sr. Excellenz Herrn Generaldirektor Dr. Schoene sowie dem Vorstande der Deutschen orient-gesellschaft zu Dank verpflichtet. Dies bezieht sich auf s mtliche Abbildungen ausgenommen 7, 8 und 26; letztere ver danke ich der freundlichen Mitteilung von Herrn Ludwig Meyer, der die babylon-kommission auf ihrer Hinausreise begleitete.
