Preparation matters. During each growth phase of our leadership journey, we discover areas of deficit and opportunities for self-reflection as we forge ahead. Those who can successfully navigate through the varied phases of change encountered along the way discover that each level of elevation requires a different version of them. Whether you lead from home, church, school, run your own business, or desire to rise the corporate ladder, the importance of understanding situational leadership is essential to balancing the person that you are today, with the person you are destined to become. We are all becoming. The question you have to ask yourself is whether you are preparing today for the mantle of next-level leadership when the time comes for it to fall on you?
I hope that while reading this book, you will discover strengths, areas to improve and capitalize on lessons learned from those who are further along than you are on their journey to leadership. There will come a day when you will be the voice of wisdom that others run to. Your experiences, successes, and failures can help them develop a plan that will reshape their approach to personal and professional development.
