Reading is all about learning "the code". The first part of the code is the single sounds of the alphabet which this book, Alphabet Adventures with Kimi and Friends , is all about. Children learn by drill and repetition and each story deals with one beginning sound for all the things mentioned in the story. The child can see and identify objects starting with an alphabet sound in the beautifully illustrated pictures. Each story also teaches a core value like kindness, sharing, acceptance and many more. Initially an adult need to read the stories to the child but later, when the child can read, they can read the stories for themselves. Kimi, the friendly and cuddly koala, appears in all the stories to hold the child's hand as they walk through the alphabet having fun while they learn. In our busy modern life, it is the perfect bonding tool to bring parent and child closer together as they make memories.
