You've heard plenty of stories about musicians who have achieved success, but you don't often hear about the ones who devote their lives to the arts, only to have their dreams come crashing down.
Maybe they were unlucky, maybe they didn't know the right people, or maybe they just sucked. Whatever it was, they had to look elsewhere for income, fame, and creative satisfaction. But what happens to the drive and desire that made them try so hard in the first place?
Author and filmmaker, Dusty York was born into a musical family and took after his saxophonist father as he pursued creative endeavors, He started a jazz record label and released 27 records before walking away from saxophone and jazz to pursue a career in indie rock, He achieved only slightly better results but inevitably decided that maybe his time was better spent doing other things.
