I'm eagerly anticipating a Halloween party away from campus, even if this one is fairly tame. The most exciting part is the blue guy that keeps following me around. Until the next day when he shows up still blue and basically kidnaps me while insisting I claim him for the rest of eternity. I'm not saying I'm objecting exactly, but shouldn't we maybe meet each other's families first? Maybe go to a movie? Gotta say, those blue dimples are divine!

A mate wasn't anywhere on my to-do list. But getting away from the Center and mingling with some locals on the one day of the year when I can blend in definitely was. Until there she is. Cute, young, and feisty and all I can think about is getting her to claim me as my warrior ancestors have been doing for centuries. We bow to no one but our chosen mate. I'll be the envy of the Empire, having spotted her first.
