Wednesday meets Loki: A Bad God’s Guide to Being Good in the first book in an hilarious new adventure series about ordinary kid and reluctant vampire Alex Abbott by debut author Louise Austin. Perfect for readers of 8 to 12.
Despite all the cool powers that come with being undead, accident-prone Alex is not happy. It’s hard keeping secrets from best friends Archie and Mia, there’s no getting out of school and, worst of all, vampires can’t eat chips, chocolate or ice-cream!
Determined to find a cure, Alex blunders into the supernatural world, breaks a centuries-old pact that protects the town and accidentally extinguishes thirty-two tiny fire sprites. It could happen to anyone! Sent on an epic journey to right these wrongs, Alex discovers there might be a way to become human again: by making a deal with an ancient fire demon in Sicily. Can Alex and friends outwit the demon or will the price of Alex’s new life be the end of the world as they know it?
