A GRU special forces major finds himself in the 13th century. Instead of the familiar world, he faces a harsh medieval France, torn apart by feudal wars. Alexei ends up in Montfort Castle, which is about to be wiped off the face of the earth by the army of a cruel count. To the locals, Alexei is an outsider, possibly a sorcerer. But when the siege tightens and there's no hope left for salvation, the "sorcerer" takes matters into his own hands. After all, in the forest, in a broken UAZ, lies his main argument in the dispute with the knightly army — a Kalashnikov assault rifle and a zinc box with cartridges.
