An ABC book that celebrates diversity by including words from various cultures around the world. Afro to Zen aims to help children learn from an early age that celebrating diversity is important, and our differences and similarities should be honored. Research has shown that when children are exposed to diverse ways of being, it helps them develop qualities such as empathy, compassion, kindness, and open-mindedness. It ultimately teaches children how to treat people with respect, regardless of their background.
Afro to Zen is a delightful book that offers a chance for both adults and children to expand their vocabulary and knowledge. The learning journey doesn't end with Z for Zen.
The author takes it a step further and does a deeper dive by exploring each letter in more depth online (please refer to the last page of the book for more information).
