Joy is a little girl who lives with her mom and dad and loves to read. She named her favorite book "Storytime," and Storytime is more than just a book to Joy. It is her best friend, and she takes Storytime everywhere.
This year, Joy has one wish for Christmas: she wants a yellow Labrador puppy. The power of her holiday wish brings Storytime to life! Instead of reading from her favorite book, Joy is told a tale about a little girl and her puppy. Storytime teaches Joy that puppies have feelings and need to be cared for with love and kindness. A puppy will depend on Joy, and with Storybook''s help, Joy learns the right way to treat a pet. Now, will Joy''s Christmas wish come true?
Author Eileen Wagner has compassion for all animals and desires to see them treated well. Adventures with Storytime was inspired by her daughter''s first puppy, a loveable Labrador, and the fun they had. These memories, combined with Eileen''s desire to promote kindness to all creatures, shaped this book.
