The nature of modern-day threats – including those in the virtual dimension – challenges traditional anti-access and area denial (A2/AD) strategies. But how should we advance A2/AD to defy these multifaceted threats? This edition of Netherlands Annual Review of Military Studies (NLARMS) presents original conceptual as well as technological approaches to A2/AD.
