Kirkus Review of Act Three:
"Offering moments of sadness and plenty of laughs, Ward tenderly paints an honest portrait of the ups and downs of aging.
"...Told through first-person letters the two friends write to each other, this breezy read is often light-hearted but sometimes deeply poignant.
"...An endearing tale of coping with loss."
A book club dessert:
Act Three is a timely, fun, and thought-provoking journey of two best friends, Stel and Merci, plunging into the unknowns of life, as widows and mothers of sandwiched daughters, in search of answers to "What do I do now?"
Joyce Ward writes about family, strong women, and anything unpredictable with a humorous twist. She lives with her artist husband in Southern California where amazing sunsets nourish her soul.
