The first autobiography by Kyffin Williams, perhaps Wales' most beloved landscape painter and widely regarded as the defining Welsh artist of the 20th century. His particular technique was applying thick oil paint with a palette knife, and he was predominately a landscape painter, typically drawing inspiration from the Welsh landscape and farmlands, though he was also an accomplished portraitist and cartoonist. Originally published in 1974, the book paints a humorous picture of Williams' childhood on Ynys Môn/Anglesey and early years as a painter, as well as of his extended family. Includes family portraits and other illustrations by the artist himself. In paperback for the first time.
