Arman Gray's life was flipped upside down when he turned sixteen. After his parents died in a suspicious house fire, Arman was introduced to an entirely new side of life that could not be explained with what he knew. The magic he knew, studied, and loved was not enough to help his parents. Now left in the care of his older sister whom he hadn't seen for years, questions burn in him as the desire to uncover the truth of his parents' deaths, and the desire to get stronger, overwhelm him.
Yet the more he learns, the more he realizes the world of magic, and the society it's attached to, is far more complicated, and far darker, than he would have ever imagined. Arman finds himself wrapped up in a prophecy he didn't know about, a life he never asked for, and faced with a choice no sixteen-year-old boy should ever have to make.
