Tereza had inherited the ambi tion of her husband, and she determined to outstand in the work of independence commenced by him. She seemed, how ever, to acknowledge Urraca's supremacy; which'fshe clearly showed in 1115 at the cortes of Oviedo. But this submission was very temporary.
