Who or what would you think about if you were wounded and left abandoned behind enemy lines in combat to fend for yourself in rugged terrain with only your pistol as a weapon for protection? Would you strike out on your own toward a friendly location, or would you stay and wait for rescue from a force that might never come? Army Lieutenant Adam Duke Gabriel had to make that decision when he found himself wounded and abandoned by his unit when they thought he was dead. His actions, his strengths, his faith, and his very mental stability would soon be tested as never tested before. It would also lead him back to the love of his life and give him the future he had always envisioned.
