Coles A Zloor For Your Trouble!: Restored Classics to Go Edition at Village Green Shopping Centre in Vernon, BC

Napoleon "Nap" Prescott is a hard-bitten professional hunter who doesn't appreciate being patronized, especially by slick Westley Marks, the polished operator who offers him a mysterious government job and insults his size while dangling a thousand-credit wager. The assignment sounds ridiculous: capture a supposedly harmless Martian zloor, a rabbit-sized creature the authorities want for secret study because it may be an alien life form from beyond the solar system. Nap accepts anyway, partly out of pride, partly for the money, and partly because the challenge is too strange to ignore. But Mars is full of surprises. At Fort Mars, Nap discovers he's one of many hunters pulled into Marks's cost-plus scheme, and the "easy" hunt becomes a comic nightmare when the zloor proves bulletproof, immovable, and far more bizarre than anyone expected. As the hunters bicker, gamble, and chase an apparently impossible prize, Nap begins to uncover the creature's real nature—and the loophole that could beat Marks at his own game. In the end, he returns with not one zloor but two, turning a scam into a triumph of nerve, ingenuity, and frontier stubbornness. This edition has been fully restored with modern typesetting, custom cover design.
