Doors rip from their hinges. Trees lift off
the ground like toys. Windows explode,
raining shards of glass across the floor.
Water floods the hotel hallway, seeping
through every crack it can find. Darkness
swallows everything-no lights, no power,
only chaos.
I can't see a thing.
Waves slam into the hotel walls, each
crash louder than thunder. The wind
6screams through the building, a sound so
sharp it feels alive. People cry out for help.
Children sob. Fear fills the air.
You're probably wondering how I ended
up here.
Before I tell you how the storm nearly tore
everything apart, let me tell you how it all
began.
