Thirteen-year-old Deidra Ann lives in the southern United States with her Granny, Aunt Willa, and Uncle Billie. Behind their house is a mysterious forest where magical creatures live. Last year when Deidra ventured in, she discovered Bernardo, a talking tree snake, and Ruff, the half-wolf forest guardian. In this book, Uncle Abe, a wizard claiming to be over a hundred years old, arrives to teach Deidra Ann magic skills. Those skills will soon be needed to help save the forest and the special creatures that live within it. "A Wizard Comes Calling" is the second book in the Deidra Ann Adventures series of middle-grade fantasy novels by Teter Keyes. This is the large print edition of A Wizard Comes Calling, with a larger font / typeface for easier reading.
