Roger Appleby had lost everything: his job, his wife, and so he decided to end his life. But to his surprise, he can't die. At first, he enjoys his immortality with such escapades as jumping into a lion exhibit and racing down a narrow highway in his Dodge Charger Hellcat. But when his recklessness results in the death of an innocent man, Gunnar Engberg, leaving his wife a widow and her two boys fatherless, his life begins to change.
Wanting to make amends to the bereaved family, he attempts to befriend them, but when Grete Engberg, a struggling Christian, discovers he is responsible for her husband's death, she explodes on him like a wounded howler monkey. How can Roger prove his sanity while claiming to be immortal? Not an easy sell. How can he protect the Engberg family, whose lives he has now endangered? How can he hope to win the heart of Grete, when he is responsible for her husband's death? How can he forgive the narrator for making him out to be such a nerd? The sci-fi, time-traveling, romantic comedy, A Wife Worth Living answers these questions and more.
