If anything ever happens to me…
The chilling true story of the Sheila Bellush murder—a gripping account of domestic violence, an obsessive ex-husband, and a desperate plea for justice, written at the victim’s request.
never met Sheila Blackthorne Bellush, yet she chronicles her story with compassion, meticulous detail, and unflinching honesty. Although Sheila had built a loving second marriage and a new family with her quadruplets, she never fully escaped the control of her ex-husband, multi-millionaire Allen Blackthorne. A charming and calculating man, Blackthorne subjected her to years of abuse during their marriage and continued to terrorize her for a decade after their divorce.
When Sheila was murdered in her own home in the presence of her four young children, investigators moved quickly to connect the crime to the man who had vowed to monitor her every move in his relentless pursuit of power and revenge.
With careful research and signature reporting, Rule untangles a web of lies, manipulation, and brutality that culminated in one of the most shocking true-crime cases of its time.
