Soaring on the award-winning heels of The Santa Switch comes A Trip for Mrs. Claus , an epic adventure custom-made for Santa's uber-compassionate, capable spouse. This time, the talented CEO (Chief Elf Optimizer) is embarking on her own, unique quest-one that will add a new level of ingenuity and soul to the Big Guy's legendary exploits. Told through a seamless pairing of rhythmic verse and sunny illustrations, A Trip for Mrs. Claus unfolds the day after Christmas, when Mrs. Claus and her "Mousy" side-kick take off for the world's neediest places with a sleigh full of elf-grown produce and the thoughtful inventor's "Auto Quilt Maker"--a sewing machine Jess cleverly rigged to spin leftover fabric scraps into beautiful patchwork quilts. Venturing into new literary territory that extends well beyond the Christmas season, A Trip for Mrs. Claus offers a hopeful world--one in which the North Pole Crew goes tropical, polar bears eat pie, mice hang-glide, and readers of ALL ages feel inspired to reach for their very best.
Author Laura Lee Scott and Illustrator Cheryl Crouthamel love teaming up to bring Mrs. Claus (and other freshly-spun characters) to life in ways they hope will delight, empower, and inspire both young and the young-at-heart. Other books by this award-winning duo include The Santa Switch and One Little Pig .
