Emmett Gibson sunk his billions into creating his vision of Utopian America, a town called Freedom. After declaring their independence, Freedom exists secretly in rural California. The town has become a home for people who want to live a pure libertarian existence away from the country none of them believe in.
As Emmett's riches dwindle he decides to sell his farm to a new freedom loving resident who embodies the spirit of the town but lacks the racial makeup of the rest of the residents. A horrible crime is committed as this new resident suffers the ultimate fate at the hands of the town's citizens. An investigation into their disappearance brings in the federal government, who threaten to expose Freedom to the world.
Read as lies, deception, fear, and murder tear apart Emmett Gibson's dream and set the stage for the horrors of modern America. An all too real tale, A Town Called Freedom exposes the darkness behind a nation's flirtation with fascism.
