A riverboat mate finds himself entangled in a baffling gold heist on the treacherous Skeena River. When a ton of gold dust vanishes during a routine run, suspicion falls on the crew, and Clancy is arrested. No evidence, no witnesses—just a boat full of drunken incompetents and a mysterious splash in the night.
Months later, a chance encounter with the mining engineer who shipped the gold reignites the case. Together, they delve into a web of deceit, gambling dens, and ruthless criminals. As they piece together the puzzle, they realize the heist was masterminded by someone who knows the river inside out—and will stop at nothing to keep the gold.
With time running out and danger closing in, they must race against a cunning adversary to recover the treasure and clear their names.
