Little Rocket and his mother live in the trunk of a black walnut tree in the backyard of a little cottage, where Little Rocket eagerly awaits the fall harvest of black walnuts. Another one of his favorite treats is only twelve feet away from the black walnut tree but seems out of Little Rocket's reach. Even though Little Rocket has physical limitations, his mother taught him to never give up no matter how difficult a situation may seem. How can Little Rocket use his unique strengths and problem solving skills to reach the mouthwatering treat?
This universally appealing story, with engaging imagery, will entertain and pique curiosity in young minds while encouraging a love of reading. Young readers will be inspired and encouraged to appreciate their unique strengths and abilities and will learn that, despite obstacles, continued effort can lead to success.
