Fern Calloway, twenty-nine and freshly unmoored from her old life, inherits her late great-aunt Marigold's spell shop in the small magical town of Moonvale — and immediately runs afoul of the county's only building inspector, Graham Whitlock, who is enforcing a condemnation deadline with the kind of grim precision that suggests he takes this personally. He does. Marigold once saved his family's business when he was a teenager, and he has never forgotten it, even if he has no idea why he keeps softening toward the chaotic, self-aware disaster who has just inherited her shop. Fern has no idea what she's doing with the magic, the ledgers, or the town. She does know that something about Graham's behavior doesn't quite add up — and that the answer is sitting in her own worktable. A warm, funny romance about inheritance, hex-craft, and the specific embarrassment of being the witch who caused this.
