Having a godparent or two is a pretty normal thing for a human to have. What isn’t normal, is for the godparent to be an actual goddess!
You never really know the whole reason a parent does something for their child, especially when it comes to decisions they make to protect that child. And I have even less of a chance of finding out why my parents named an ancient Grecian Goddess as my godparent, since my parents died a few months after I was born. My godparent didn’t forsake me though, deciding instead to spirit me away to her realm to be raised by her Champion.
Very few realms are welcoming to humans though, with even fewer species willing to welcome humans to live among them, and Sarpedon was no different. But when my bigoted rival Eros starts acting strange while our unit is on a mission hunting zealots, being human becomes the least of my problems. With my life spinning out of control and death closing in from every side, I am the one that must make the choice between the chaos of change, and the finality of destruction.
