After a little boy breaks his arm, he has to go to the hospital and have his first surgery. He learns about the doctors and nurses and realizes that going to sleep is no harder than drinking a "sleepy juice" and breathing through a scented mask. He dreams of exciting adventures as he falls asleep and when he wakes, he is eager to tell of his journey. Written by a board-certified anesthesiologist, A Sleepy Tale: My First Surgery tells a fun story that will help children prepare for the process of having surgery and receiving anesthesia.
