Coles A Silent Symphony: Leroy Cunningworth Murder Mysteries at Village Green Shopping Centre in Vernon, BC
*Product information may vary - to confirm product availability, pricing, shipping and return information please contact Coles
When housekeeper Mary O'Neill finds celebrated pianist Sebastian Hale dead in his armchair facing his beloved Steinway, the scene is arranged to look like suicide. The note is typed. A single red rose lies beside it. The whisky is cheap.
Too cheap for a man who had Japanese single malt shipped specially from Melbourne.
Retired barrister turned art restorer Leroy Cunningworth is called in by police inspector Jack Flint, and what begins as a suspicious death quickly becomes something far darker — a murder committed not for money or revenge or jealousy, but for love. The most dangerous kind.
Because somewhere in the final symphony Hale was writing in the last weeks of his life, hidden in the notes themselves, is the identity of the person who was watching him. Waiting for him. And ultimately killing him to silence the one confession that would have changed everything.
Readers of Peter Temple, Kerry Greenwood, and Arthur Upfield will love this book
