The very terms 'autism' and 'dementia' are liable to lead us into misunderstanding of how we might in fact benefit from those who challenge our societal preconceptions. Human beings, studied as biological organisms, hide from us behind characteristics that really describe our own shortcomings. This is an at times angry examination of how we wrong ourselves by making those wrong who exist specifically to draw our attention to our modern failings.
