As parents we take an oath to love and protect our children. As professionals we take a similar stance to serve and protect our community and even the nation in certain instances. When the two worlds collide it's important to maintain a balance. As parents we must assure our little ones, no matter how great the professional commitment, sacrifice or even distance; the love for him or her is that much greater.
